Learning From Home
The Program
We understand every Learning From Home LFH) environment is different, we have therefore provided three platforms of learning for students. Families are able to utilise all or some of these platforms to best meet the needs of their child's learning.
Offline learning – ACTIVITY GRID – families may print the grid each week – offline activities.
Indirect learning – GOOGLE CLASSROOM – students access this platform each day for roll call and submission tasks. Timetables for the week are located in the timetable folder in each GC.
Direct learning – ZOOM – students may participate in Zooms between Monday to Thursday. Zooms are at scheduled times so parents may be able to schedule these into busy household planning.
Each day students will assigned a literacy and numeracy 'submission' task to be completed and submitted to the teacher as part of evidence of their attendance. These tasks are posted in the Google Classroom. Submission tasks will be clearly identified in the weekly timetable and in the topic folders for all grades and released each day as part of scheduling.
Attendance
In order to have their attendance recorded as 'present' via Learning From Home, students are required to:
- Log into Google Classroom before noon each day. Log into ROLL CALL and reply.
- Complete the two SUBMISSION TASKS which will be assigned each day (24hrs to complete, upload and submit tasks)
Troubleshooting Access Issues
Here are a series of 'How to' guides that may support families in accessing the LFH resources.
Contacting the School
Each class teacher has their contact details listed in Google Classroom. As staff are working both on and off site, email is the preferred method of contact. Please email teachers if you have any questions, concerns or need to clarify a part of the LFH program provided.
